I have a question about catholicism..?

There isn't need for any restoration. There were problems in the church that needed fixed, that is no doubt. The Simony of selling Indulgences was a big one. However, everything else that was changed by Protestants was not because of error in Christ's Church, but because of a lack of willingness to believe. Doctrines were changed to fit the beliefs of the person leading that particular church, and when someone in that church didn't like where they were going, they made their own. So on and so forth.
