Why do Maci and Farrah of MTV teen moms fame, driving holding a cellphone in their hands?

I mean i know Maci lives somewhere in Nashville, donno where Farrah does but really, can you drive so precariously with a baby in ur car on a free way, holding the steering with the other hand ?
